Alice in Wonderland: White Rabbit - Who Killed Time?

And you run, and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

Every year is getting shorter
Never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught
Or half a page of scribbled lines

I'm sure everyone has noticed how time seems to accelerate as age increases. You've probably said, or heard someone say, "Man, it doesn't seem like it should be Christmas time already." Ever notice that the people who say that are not children? This one's a simple explanation.

Subscribe to TaiMelWillHaden.comTime isn't going any faster as you age, it's just that each block of time you experience represents an increasingly smaller percentage of your life.

For example, to a five-year-old, a year represents 20% of her life. To a 50-year-old, a year is only 2% of her life. This creates the perception that time is going faster and faster.
