Red Velvet Residue
September 19, 2011
mmmm... One of my favorite childhood memories: scraping red velvet residue from the wax paper.

And When I Come Home Cold and Tired. It's Good to Warm My Bones Beside the Fire
September 18, 2011
It was cool weather Friday night after work, so we relaxed by the fire with some blueberry wine we picked up in Charleston at the bridge run.

So so what? I'm still a rock star, I got my rock moves, And i don't need you

Maily showed up to the girls' birthday party in rock star mode. I kept waiting for the rest of her entourage to show up.
Random Picture Friday
September 16, 2011Shortly after the new library opened, we went to check it out. As we were walking through the youth area, Will said, "There I am." Somehow there was a picture of Will playing football mixed in with the bookmarks. In the picture, Will is number 14 with "Nguyen, Jr." on the back.
The only thing I can figure is he used that picture as a bookmark, then left it in a book and checked it back in to the library.
We left the picture where it was.

SAN DIEGO CONFUSION
2011 GHS vs. Dorman
This was a good game. Great football weather. I didn't expect Greenwood to win--certainly not by two touchdowns.

New Trees at Belle Oaks
September 6, 2011
As a housewarming gift, Dad gave us some money for a Japanese Maple, but we already have one beside Mel's Woman Cave. So, we bought a Weeping Cherry and Weeping Willow. Both are supposed to be large trees when they mature.
Thanks Dad!

Lovely Ladies
September 5, 2011We had three lovely ladies again this weekend.

We went on our traditional midnight walk, except not actually at midnight this time.

Alabama, Arkansas, I Do Love My Ma and Pa
September 2, 2011
Will has the pre-teen attitude down pat. This picture is from our beach trip this year, and I’m sure after the picture, someone told Will to smile, even though this is a pretty good shot already.
So, what you see now is Will giving his “Fine, I’m smiling” face, with all the pre-teen ‘tude he can muster.

Well, I thought it was funny that the attitude was caught on film, so I had some fun with it. Now he’ll probably never let us photograph him again.
We only kid you because we love you, Will!
Random Picture Friday

I have a feeling we will have a camp fire just about every weekend this autumn and winter with all the limbs that fell this summer.
