Men vs. Wild
January 22, 2009Yesterday, I took the boys on a 2-hour Men vs. Wild hike through the treacherous wilderness of North Greenwood.
Haden said he would survive on cheetah blood, but I didn't think it was likely we would find one of those near the 72 bypass. So, I brought Beenie Weenies and Ramen noodles.
Here is Haden's Beenie Weenie face:
they weren't his favorite
They were looking inside this dead tree for grubs to eat, but they only found a rollie pollie, which Will ate.
Their favorite part was going under that tunnel near the Self Regional Express Care.
...found a dead raccoon, but they didn't eat it or make a hat out of it...
After two hours in the freezing woods, we were glad to see civilization again:
When we got home Haden ravenously ate two grilled cheese sandwiches Mel had ready for him.
