The State is reporting Clemson will likely go to the Gator Bowl in Florida (Jacksonville, I think) on January 1st. This could mean we'll get a rematch of the 1981 National Championship (Clemson vs. Nebraska)

Expect an announcement tomorrow, as all this can start officially shaking out once the BCS releases certain teams this afternoon.

Clemson is expected to play Nebraska in a rematch of the 1982 Orange Bowl. But the Big 12 opponent might not be made official yet unless the BCS releases Texas Tech from its consideration.

The Cotton Bowl is poised to take the odd Big 12 team out of the BCS, while the Holiday Bowl favors Oklahoma State. That leaves the Gator Bowl free to take Nebraska.
